What you need
before you buy.

OmniReel runs on your own computer and is driven by your own AI agent. Three things to have ready: a capable Mac or PC, an AI agent, and a voice account.

A Mac or Windows PC

8 GB of RAM and 10 GB free at least. 16 GB and a recent chip make renders much faster. Linux, Chromebooks, iPads and phones are not supported.

An AI agent

Claude Code (Claude Pro or Max), Codex (ChatGPT Plus, Pro or Business) or Gemini CLI. It installs and runs the studio for you.

An ElevenLabs account

For the voice-over, billed by ElevenLabs: about 1,000 characters per minute of narrated video. Optional: Google Flow for real-looking footage.

Hardware

Minimum and recommended.

Your computer draws and encodes every frame. That keeps your files private and means no per-video fee from us. The better the computer, the faster the video.

Why RAM matters

Rendering runs several browser windows at once, one per core. 8 GB works with other apps closed; 16 GB lets it run at full speed.

Why cores matter

Frames render in parallel, so more cores finish sooner: roughly twice as fast on 8 cores as on 4. Renders resume if interrupted.

Why disk space matters

The tools take a few GB; each project keeps its renders and versions. Keep 30 GB free if you make videos every week.

Can I use a Linux computer, a Chromebook or an iPad?

Not today. OmniReel is tested on Windows 10 and 11 and on macOS. Chromebooks, iPads and phones cannot run the tools it needs.

Do I need a graphics card?

No. Rendering uses the processor. More cores and more memory make it faster.

My computer has 8 GB. Is that enough?

Yes, with patience: close other apps while a video renders, and expect a 30-second Short to take longer than on a 16 GB machine.

Can I start without ElevenLabs?

Yes. The setup makes a test video with no paid calls, and some templates work with music only. You need ElevenLabs for narrated videos.
